The World Travel Awards which was held on 9th April 2016 at Diamond La Gemma Hotel in Zanzibar had nominated the top leading African best destinations. The selection of choosing the “best of the best” destination is usually a stiff work ailing to the fact that all Africa’s destinations are super-beautiful and attractive. But there has to be the ‘super-best’, right?
In choosing which countries to be nominated for these competed posts, there are a lot of things checked and various considerations done.

9) Victoria Falls, Zambia
Victoria Falls is UNESCO’s World Heritage site and it’s considered to be the largest fall in the world. The fall is located on Zambezi River – the 4th largest river in Africa which also defines the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe-. It is also the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than one kilometer and a height of more than 100 m.
The water level varies throughout the year; it is at its peak in April, at the end of the rainy season when on average 500 million liters of water flow and it is at its lowest level in October and early November. Apart from the dry season that makes waters in Zambezi River to drop sharply, Victoria Falls is a rolling machine that strikes anyone with power.
10) Zanzibar, Tanzania
Zanzibar is one of the beautiful archipelagos found in Tanzania with spectacular eye-catching views.
